TINUBU AND ABBA: KANO’S ONGOING DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
Suleiman also highlighted the relationship between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s government, saying their cooperation was contributing to development efforts across the state.
SULEIMAN POINTS TO PROJECTS ACROSS KANO
In a statement issued in Abuja, Suleiman said the scale and spread of projects across Kano supported his description of the state as a “project state.”
He said projects were being carried out across the state’s 44 local government areas, which he cited as evidence of the administration’s development efforts and management of public resources.
Suleiman made the comments after visiting Kano on Thursday, where he toured a number of project sites.
Among the locations he visited were Lamido Crescent Road, Justice Dahiru Mustapha Farm Centre Road, Mai Allo Nassarawa/Gezawa Road, Tudun Wada Road and Minjibir/Ungogo Road.
ROADS, SCHOOLS AND HOSPITALS AMONG PROJECTS
Suleiman said the projects he observed covered several areas, including road construction, flyovers, renovation of schools and hospitals, urban renewal and rural development.
He said the ongoing work was contributing to changes in the appearance of different parts of the state.
Describing his observations from the project sites, Suleiman said Kano was still undergoing development and that the activities he witnessed were more extensive than what he had encountered through reports outside the state.
He said construction work was visible in several areas and described Kano as a project site.
CALLS FOR FIRSTHAND ASSESSMENT
Suleiman urged Nigerians to visit Kano and assess the ongoing projects for themselves.
He said firsthand visits would allow residents and visitors to see the development activities taking place across the state rather than relying solely on descriptions from outside.
TINUBU, ABBA COOPERATION
Suleiman also linked the development activities he observed to cooperation between the federal government and the Kano State administration.
He said the relationship between the federal government and the All Progressives Congress-led administration in Kano demonstrated the potential benefits of cooperation between different levels of government in implementing infrastructure and other development projects.
He specifically described the relationship between Tinubu’s administration and Governor Abba’s government as a partnership that, in his assessment, was producing visible results across the state.
