‎Osun Poll: Ooni’s Aide Urges Tinubu to Replicate Free and Fair Process in 2027
A Special Assistant to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has urged President Bola Tinubu to ensure that the 2027 general elections are conducted in a free and fair manner.

‎The aide, Uzoma Ani, who serves on South-East and Diaspora Matters, commended Tinubu over what he described as the President’s support for a credible governorship election in Osun State.

‎Ani also praised Osun voters for turning out to participate in the election, saying the exercise demonstrated the importance of allowing citizens to freely choose their leaders.

‎He said the conduct of the Osun election should be replicated across the country during the 2027 elections, particularly in the South-East.

‎The Ooni’s aide specifically appealed to the President to ensure that voters in Ebonyi State and other South-Eastern states are allowed to choose their leaders without intimidation or undue interference.

‎Ani also congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election, describing the result as a reflection of the decision of Osun voters.

‎He commended the people of the state for participating in the election and exercising their democratic rights.

‎According to him, the Osun outcome sends a message to political leaders that elected officials must remain responsive to the people who elected them.

‎Ani also called on governors to focus on issues affecting their constituents ahead of the 2027 elections, including infrastructure, healthcare, education and employment.

‎He particularly urged Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru to pay greater attention to the expectations of the people and prioritise projects that directly affect residents.

‎The aide said the Osun election should serve as a reminder that political power ultimately rests with the electorate.
