The traditional ruler made the remarks in a congratulatory letter dated August 18, following Adeleke’s victory in the August 15 governorship election.
Oba Oyesosin, who spoke on behalf of the chiefs, Council of Obas and people of Ejigboland, said the governor’s renewed mandate showed that residents trusted his leadership and commitment to the development of the state.
He said Adeleke’s second term provided an opportunity for the administration to consolidate its achievements and pursue policies aimed at improving the welfare of residents.
The monarch also commended the people of Ejigbo Local Government Area for their support during the election, saying they came out in large numbers despite what he described as intimidation.
According to him, the people of Ejigboland invested their time, resources and support in Adeleke because they believed in his vision for Osun State.
However, the Ogiyan urged the governor to reciprocate the support by giving Ejigboland greater attention during his second term.
He specifically appealed for improved infrastructure, empowerment programmes and development projects that would improve living conditions in the area.
Oba Oyesosin expressed confidence that Adeleke’s second term would bring further development, peace and prosperity to Osun State.
He also prayed for wisdom, good health and strength for the governor as he prepares to begin another four years in office.
