Some voters were already at the polling unit waiting for accreditation, while efforts were being made to resolve the malfunction and allow the voting process to begin.
The development occurred as voters across Osun State continued to participate in the governorship election.
Meanwhile, Fulani herders and their cattle were sighted around Ode-Omu in Ayedaade Local Government Area while voting was taking place in different parts of the state.
As of the time of the report, it was unclear when the BVAS problem at Ward 1, Unit 9, would be resolved or when voting would commence at the affected polling unit.
The election is being conducted across the state with security personnel deployed to various locations as voters choose the next governor of Osun State.
