One Dead, Two Rescued as Two-Storey Building Collapses in Lagos
A two-storey building undergoing manual demolition has partially collapsed in the Aboru area of Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State, leaving one person dead and two others rescued.

‎The incident occurred around midnight at No. 42 Governors Road, Aboru, according to emergency authorities.

‎Emergency responders who arrived at the scene following a distress call found workers trapped beneath the rubble.

‎Two adult males were successfully rescued from the collapsed structure. They received first aid at the scene before being taken to a nearby health facility for further medical attention.

‎A third adult male was recovered from beneath the rubble but was confirmed dead.

‎Recovery operations were still ongoing as emergency officials continued working at the scene.

‎The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and Lagos State Ambulance Service were involved in the response.

‎Authorities urged residents and property developers to comply with building regulations and ensure that demolition and construction work is carried out by certified professionals.
