The incident occurred around midnight at No. 42 Governors Road, Aboru, according to emergency authorities.
Emergency responders who arrived at the scene following a distress call found workers trapped beneath the rubble.
Two adult males were successfully rescued from the collapsed structure. They received first aid at the scene before being taken to a nearby health facility for further medical attention.
A third adult male was recovered from beneath the rubble but was confirmed dead.
Recovery operations were still ongoing as emergency officials continued working at the scene.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and Lagos State Ambulance Service were involved in the response.
Authorities urged residents and property developers to comply with building regulations and ensure that demolition and construction work is carried out by certified professionals.
