TWO SOCIAL IMPACT RECOGNITIONS
Jalade-Ekeinde announced that she received a Social Impact Award and a Lifetime Social Impact Recognition from Israel Tribune and 90210 Enterprise.
The actress expressed appreciation for the recognition and described the honour as meaningful to her efforts to use her platform to contribute to society.
FILM PROCEEDS DIRECTED TO EDUCATION SUPPORT
The recognitions followed her decision to direct the producers' earnings from Mother's Love: The Movie towards supporting education for children from underserved communities.
The initiative was linked to Slum2School Africa, an organisation focused on providing educational support to children in underserved communities.
Jalade-Ekeinde had previously announced that 100 per cent of the proceeds accruing to her production company, Red Hot Concepts, from the film's theatrical release would be directed to Slum2School Africa for education support.
USING FILM TO SUPPORT A SOCIAL CAUSE
The actress's decision connected her filmmaking work with an education-focused initiative, using proceeds from the movie to support children who face barriers to accessing education.
The recognitions have since drawn attention to the social purpose behind Mother's Love: The Movie and the decision to channel the production company's proceeds towards the cause.
