Agunloye is a Senior Information Technology Officer at Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS), where he supports the organisation’s U.S. Department of State ACE-5 Programme. His professional activities have involved responsibilities across Cross River, Lagos and Akwa Ibom States.
Over the course of more than seven years in the technology sector, he has developed experience in Microsoft Azure infrastructure, Microsoft 365, enterprise networking, cloud security and security operations. His work has involved the management and security of technology environments used within organisational settings.
His technical credentials include several Microsoft certifications, among them Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Security Operations Analyst Associate and Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert. He also holds ITIL v5 and a Leadership and Team Development credential from IBMI Berlin.
Agunloye’s academic background includes a BSc in Computer Science from Bayero University Kano, which he completed in 2017. He subsequently earned an MSc in Data Science with Distinction from the University of East London in 2025, where his academic focus included AI-driven cybersecurity.
His interest in practical technology development is also reflected in his independent projects. Through his GitHub account, lanre-adams, he has worked on projects including AegisFlow, CloudGuard, M365 Incident Monitor, AERCF and VM Security Automation.
The projects explore different areas of modern information technology, including cloud governance, security monitoring, incident detection, automation, artificial intelligence and cloud-resource management. They provide examples of his efforts to apply technical and research knowledge to practical problems.
A notable part of Agunloye’s professional activities has also been his involvement in mentoring students. Since March 2025, he has maintained an informal mentoring arrangement with the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Uyo, established in coordination with the Head of Department.
The initiative focuses on providing students with practical perspectives on information technology careers and helping them understand professional environments beyond the classroom. His mentoring activities include guidance on software projects, professional development and the software development life cycle.
Agunloye has also recommended approximately five students for internship opportunities within his office. The placements have provided opportunities for the students to gain exposure to enterprise information technology operations and observe how technical skills are applied within a professional environment.
His approach to mentorship reflects a broader interest in connecting academic learning with practical experience. Rather than limiting his engagement to technical concepts, he also shares perspectives on career development and the skills required to navigate the technology industry.
