The premiere will take place at the FirstBank Amphitheater, giving the film a different setting from the traditional Los Angeles and New York locations often associated with major Hollywood premieres.
Heart of the Beast follows Pitt as James Belmont, a former Special Forces officer, who becomes stranded in the Alaskan wilderness with his retired combat dog, Odin, after a plane crash.
The pair must navigate the harsh wilderness and fight to survive as they attempt to make their way back to civilization.
The film is directed by David Ayer, while J.K. Simmons and Anna Lambe also star in the movie alongside Pitt.
Pitt, Ayer and producers Marty Bowen and Olivia Hamilton are expected to attend the global premiere in Tennessee.
The decision to hold the premiere in Nashville was reportedly influenced by Pitt, who requested an outdoor event away from the usual Los Angeles and New York locations. The FirstBank Amphitheater was subsequently selected for the event.
The Nashville premiere comes ahead of the film's scheduled theatrical release on September 25.
The movie has already attracted attention because of its survival-focused storyline and the central relationship between Pitt's character and his combat dog.
With the global premiere now scheduled for September 16, attention is turning toward Pitt's latest film ahead of its wider release in cinemas later this month.
